2022 system (v2)
The second generation of the Chicken Coop, using custom made printed circuit boards (PCB's) and taking advantage of the newer technologies such as ESP32's and Raspberry Pi Zero 2W, that are available, 7 years after the first implementation.
This is the system currently running the Chicken Coop and its under active development
2013 system (v1)
Information about the construction of the first iteration of the automated chicken house controller, using a wire wrap prototype board, with an Arduino Mega 2560 and a Raspberry Pi model A and an I2C Real Time Clock IC, plus all the things we learned on that journey
This is the previous iteration of the Chicken Coop, it is no longer running the coop and has been recycled, but the journey would be incomplete without understanding where we have come from and how we got here.
